✦ Our Story · Sejak 1999
The house that holds the nation's stage.
Istana Budaya — the Palace of Culture — has stood on Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur since 1999 as Malaysia's national theatre. Under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, it is the country's home for grand musicals, symphonic seasons and the living traditions of the archipelago.
One of the most advanced lyric theatres in Southeast Asia — a place built so that a nation might gather under one roof, in one light, to see itself performed.

Every light that rises here rises on the nation itself.
